At least one third of Olin Business School's BSBA students participate in the study abroad internship program.

INTERNATIONAL STUDY

At least one-third of Olin undergraduates study abroad in Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, Spain or the United Kingdom. Some of our programs provide mainly academic study, while our International Internship Programs incorporate full-time internships. Tuition for the programs listed below is at the current Washington University semester rate and all financial assistance awards and academic scholarships apply. Participants are able to complete all degree requirements in the usual four-year period. February 1 is the deadline for fall programs and February 15 is the deadline for summer programs. The deadline for spring programs is May 1. For more information on Olin abroad programs, or to apply, please visit http://sa.wustl.edu/.

International Internship Programs
Participants are juniors and seniors who are pursuing a business degree or a second major or a minor in business. Students in these programs:
  • Engage in 15 credit hours of study while abroad.
  • Participate in a study tour or colloquium series for credit, depending on the program.
  • Complete a demanding 15-week, full-time internship work typically assigned to junior-level employees with an institution such as Citigroup.
  • Write an extensive research paper similar to a thesis and present it to faculty, fellow students and company representatives.

International Internship Programs are offered in partnership with:

European Study Tour
All of our European program students (London, Paris, Koblenz and Madrid participants) participate in a weeklong European Study Tour (last week of January) while abroad. This tour is designed to give our students an intense introduction to the aspects of the European Union. Each student will visit a pre-assigned EU country. During the visit, each student will meet with government and business experts to research their country’s attitudes about a specific issue. At the end of the week, each student will represent his or her country at a mini-parliament exercise in Brussels, Belgium where students will debate the current assigned issue.
