Combine your Washington University Undergraduate Degree with an MBA
The MBA 3+2 Program option is a highly selective early admission option for an MBA degree where students spend three years pursuing undergraduate course work and then move directly into completing the two-year MBA degree, shaving one year off the typical six-year time frame. The full-time MBA degree requires completion of a minimum of 66 semester credits.
It is available to all eligible Washington University undergraduate students who are pursuing their bachelor’s degree in the Olin Business School, School of Engineering & Applied Sciences, or the School of Arts & Sciences. Students interested in this option must apply during their junior year of study. Credits must be allocated as follows:
- Business (BSBA) candidates: A minimum of 51 credits must be completed in 500-level MBA courses taught by Olin faculty. Six upper-level undergraduate credits will apply. The remaining nine credits may be comprised of additional Olin Business School MBA electives or pre-approved Washington University non-business, graduate-level electives taken after you have begun study as an Olin MBA candidate.
- Engineering candidates: A minimum of 51 credits must be completed in 500-level MBA courses taught by Olin faculty. The remaining 15 credits will be applied from the partnering undergraduate program.
- Arts & Sciences candidates: The following eligibility requirements must be completed before starting the MBA program and by the end of the junior year: (1) Accumulation of 90 hours of Arts & Sciences course work; (2) Completion of all requirements for the undergraduate major; (3) Completion of all distribution requirements. A minimum of 51 credits must be completed in 500-level MBA courses taught by Olin faculty. The remaining 15 credits will be applied from the partnering undergraduate program.
