On Olin curriculum:
After I earn my Professional MBA, I hope to make a career switch into marketing. I also hope to expand my network with the Alumni Association at Washington University. Obviously a higher income is one of the reasons people pursue an MBA, but even in the day-to-day aspect of my job, I’m applying a lot of new skills I recently acquired in my classes. I’ve gained the leadership qualities that come with an MBA—how to build systems, delegate and find the strengths in people to complete a project.
On Olin faculty:
So, why Olin? Olin has a great network of people; our professors are there for us no matter what. I’ve had a discussion with a professor until 10:30 at night, not only about the curriculum but also my career aspirations and things I want to do with different entrepreneurship projects. That’s something that I don’t think I’d be able to find anywhere else. I have an incredibly busy family life and work life.
However, I was missing academic fulfillment, so coming to class and expanding my network and opportunities through Olin has made me an even better wife, mother and employee because I am more fulfilled.
