Return on investment

Since graduating from the Executive MBA program, Saunders has accepted new positions with two different companies and has more than doubled her annual income. She became a global marketing manager for Stereotaxis in 2010. Next, she led upstream and downstream marketing initiatives for Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals.

“Mallinckrodt is an extremely marketing-oriented organization. My first day on the job, I was brought into a meeting with plant managers and highlighted as a leader responsible for product demand and forecast management. The program gave me the knowledge to embrace this responsibility, which was quite new for me.”

The importance of Professional Development Planning

“The EMBA program’s 360 feedback and Professional Development Planning taught me a lot about myself. For instance, I tended to take over in certain management situations and to bulldoze through objectives. PDP exercises showed me the importance of situational leadership. As a result, I’m more flexible with my direct reports. I learned that what works well with some employees may not work for others.”

What surprised her most about the program

“High academic standards were set during GO! Week, and everyone was expected to perform. But the toughness was what made the program so beneficial. My classmates and I rose to the challenge.”
