International Management Residency
After you begin the second-year Global Markets theme, you and your classmates travel to China, which now boasts the world’s largest economy.
You spend four days in Beijing, the cultural and political heart of China and home to many of the country’s largest state-run companies. You also spend four days in Shanghai, the world’s fastest-growing financial center and China’s largest city.
During the residency, you receive instruction at the Fudan University School of Management. Olin has partnered with the business school for more than a decade to prepare executives for global leadership.
Outside the classroom, you conduct field research on international markets, meet with senior-level representatives from Chinese and multinational corporations, and tour high-performing companies.
You also share business practices and perspectives with students and alumni from the Washington University–Fudan University Executive MBA program. These interactions – and friendships – are an invaluable part of the experience, expanding your professional network across continents and cultures.
