FAQs

How much do I need to know about business or Israel?
You do not need previous business coursework or knowledge of Israel to participate.

Are there religious or ethnic background requirements for the program?
This program is non-denominational and open to students of all faiths and beliefs.

What support services are included with the program?
There will be a student services staff person on location at IDC in Ra’anna to ensure that the needs of all ISBA participants are met. Professional staff will accompany you everywhere for the duration of the program. In addition, Israeli Resident Assistants who will hold office hours in the dorms are available to answer questions and assist you. For more information, please visit the Fees and Logistics page.

How is the program structured?
The six-week summer program is presented in a modular format. Modules last from eight to 14 days and include a combination of classroom learning and experiential learning opportunities. Please visit the Curriculum page for complete details.

What about health, safety and security?
As a participant in the ISBA program, you are required to purchase the same health insurance offered to participants in the IDC semester programs. Additionally, all students will be registered with the U.S. State Department. The program will provide each participant with supplemental insurance.

You will be provided transportation (via private bus) to IDC on days when class is held. A private bus will be chartered for transportation to off-campus sites such as company visits and immersive experiences. You will be given a wallet size card with emergency numbers and we will go over emergency procedures on the first day of the on-site orientation.
