3. Award Notification. Deposited students will receive an electronic notification that their financial aid award is available once their FAFSA & Institutional Application are reviewed.
The anticipated processing date for incoming full-time students is July 30th provided all the proper documentation has been received and that your WUSTL e-mail address has been established. Please allow at least 5 weeks processing time for items received after July 1st.
Returning full-time & part-time students attending classes during the summer semester will need to coordinate with the financial aid office to have their aid processed prior to July 30th.
Once you have been notified that your award is available, please visit https://sfs.wustl.edu/Pages/default.aspx
Choose Current Students at the top of the page and log in using your WUSTL Key and password.
Select My Award and accept the amount of financial aid that you wish to receive for each of the terms listed.
4. Federal Loans. At the following link complete the items listed below: https://sfs.wustl.edu/Pages/Graduate-Loan-Requirements.aspx
Entering Students and 1st time Direct Loan borrowers:
A. Complete Loan Entrance Counseling.
B.Complete the following two Promissory Notes:
i). Subsidized/ Unsubsidized Master Promissory Note.
ii). Graduate PLUS Master Promissory Note (if awarded a PLUS loan).
C.Start the PLUS Application Process (if awarded a PLUS loan).
Returning Students:
A. Verify that a Subsidized/Unsubsidized and applicable Graduate PLUS Master Promissory Note has been completed.
B. Start the PLUS Application Process.

5. My Checklist. To verify that we have received all the documents current needed to process your financial aid, please visit https://sfs.wustl.edu/Pages/default.aspx
Choose Current Students at the top of the page and log in using your WUSTL Key and password. Select My Checklist and verify that all the required documents have been received.
Note: It can take up to 3-4 business days for Washington University to receive confirmation of completed Entrance Counseling, Loan Applications and Promissory Notes.
6. Submit Title IV Authorization form.
Students interested in taking alternative loans rather than the Federal loan options will need to go directly to the lenders website to submit their application. Depending on the lender that is selected, students using an alternative loan can usually begin their application process 60 days prior to the start of Mini-term A. The loan period listed on your application should be one of the following:
Summer only- May through August | Fall/Spring – August through April | Fall only- August through December | Spring only- January through April
Employer Tuition Reimbursement:
Many employers provide full-or-partial tuition assistance to employees who are pursuing degrees part-time. You should contact the Human Resource Department in your organization for specifics about what benefits they offer. Be aware, however, that there may be some tax consequences associated with employer-paid tuition benefits.
