Graduates of Olin's Master of Science in Finance (MS/Finance) develop highly targeted skills by selecting the curriculum track best suited to their career aspirations – Corporate Finance & Investments or Quantitative Finance.
The MS/Finance is a rigorous and comprehensive graduate program that offers in-depth training in securities research, asset management, derivative pricing, fixed income and corporate finance for students pursuing specialized finance careers in either of two tracks:
| Corporate Finance |
Quantitative Finance |
| Investment Banking |
Credit Risk Analysis |
| Asset Management |
Derivative Pricing |
| Sales & Trading |
Risk Management Modeling |
| Industry Finance |
Financial Software Development |
| Consulting |
|
Both the Corporate Finance and Quantitative Finance tracks fuse mathematical tools with a strategic understanding of business decision-making. The rigor of Washington University’s MS/Finance program attracts applicants with excellent quantitative skills and a broad range of academic experience in the areas of finance, economics, engineering and mathematics. Prior work experience is recommended, though not required, for admission to the program.
For students who do not have any prior experience or training in finance, we offer concentrated "foundation" courses in both finance and accounting in August to prepare them for advanced finance course work for the program.
