DOMESTIC PROCESS

Although you are working professionals, we recognize that your personal finances may not be sufficient for the expenses of pursuing graduate education at the Olin Business School. Our goal is to assist you in identifying sources of funding that will make an Olin MBA affordable for you.

1. Submit online the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) www.fafsa.gov. Submit as early as January 1 to be considered for aid for the upcoming academic year. This is the first step in applying for federal aid.

Fill out only the student portion of the FAFSA, not the parent portion.
You’ll need to complete a FAFSA for each academic year in which you require financial aid. Washington University’s School Code is: 002520.

2. Submit your Financial Assistance Application to:

3.Complete Stafford-Grad PLUS Loan Online Entrance Counseling.

4. Complete the Stafford Loan Master Promissory Note.

5. Complete other loan applications, if desired.

GradPlus Loans

Review GradPLUS loan information, and complete the application online.
Olin Business School is on the Danforth Campus of Washington University in St. Louis (not the medical school).
The academic period is listed on your award letter(s). Fall and spring semesters are August through May. The spring-only semester is January through May.
The loan amount you need to request is the combined total listed on your award letter for PLUS/alternative loans.
A separate loan application is required for the summer semester.

Alternative Loans

Review alternative loan vendors, and complete the application online.
The academic period is for the period(s) listed on your award letter(s).
The loan amount you need to request is the combined total listed on your award letter for PLUS/alternative loans.
A separate loan application is required for the summer semester.

6. Return signed award letter. Deposited students will receive an award letter after their FAFSA and Institutional Application are reviewed and processed. The anticipated processing date for the fall semester PMBA program is June 30th provided all the proper documentation has been received. Please allow at least 5 weeks processing time for items received after June 1st.

The anticipated processing date for the Spring semester PMBA program is November 30th provided all the proper documentation has been received. Please allow at least 5 weeks processing time for items received after November 1st.

7. Submit Title IV Authorization form.

Employer Tuition Reimbursement:
Many employers provide full-or-partial tuition assistance to employees who are pursuing degrees part-time. You should contact the Human Resource Department in your organization for specifics about what benefits they offer. Be aware, however, that there may be some tax consequences associated with employer-paid tuition benefits.

If you are enrolled in summer courses, you are eligible to borrow financial aid for the summer.
