Building Your Network
Today's global managers need a network of friends, colleagues, and contacts to get access to the resources they need to compete. For this reason, our program aims to produce managers that are more than well trained-they are also well-connected. Throughout the program we offer social events and activities that allow students to build deep and meaningful relationships that will sustain them both professionally and personally for the rest of their lives.
"Studying an EMBA program requires good time-management, staying focused and choosing your priorities carefully to maintain a well balanced life-style. I choose to fly in monthly from Singapore because I wanted to broaden my network with Chinese managers in China, and Shanghai is the center of the business world. The greatest benefit I gain from this program is the interaction I get with my classmates. During the breakout session, I really enjoy the intellectual exchange of ideas and the different views in tackling a problem. We can learn so much from our peers who are the experts in their industry."

Most class weekends will include an event aimed at deepening and broadening your network. Some activities help you get to know your teammates and classmates. Other events allow you to meet and get to know the students in Fudan's Chinese-language EMBA program. Still others bring you into contact with the growing number of alumni in both the Washington University-Fudan University EMBA program and our sister programs in both St. Louis and Fudan University. We try to provide a variety of events that allow you to connect to the people you think you need in your life.
