Olin Business School has a rich history of providing corporate board members and senior executives with education and development on important governance issues.

We currently offer three ready-to-deliver versions of Directors’ Programs.

This program offers content aligned with current market issues and their implications for board-level decision making (one-day program). Topics include:
  • The Predicates of Vulnerability
  • Enterprise Risk Management
  • Board Decision Making and the Global Liquidity Crisis

Directors’ College
A CEO-level view of the challenges and dilemmas facing the modern board member and the best practices to help board members understand core issues and make sound decisions (half-day program). Topics include:

  • Fiduciary Responsibilities — When to Ask Questions
  • Earnings Management and Compensation
  • Director Liability — How to Protect Yourself and the Board

Following the Money
How do board-level decisions create, or destroy, shareholder value? This seminar shows how (half-day program). Topics include:

  • Board Decisions and Resource Allocation: How is Value Created?
  • Best Practices: How to Report the Value you Create — Setting Market Expectations
  • Financial Reporting Traps and Snares — and How to Avoid Them

As with most of our programs, we can be flexible with program delivery location and venue. We also offer customized governance programs to fit unique corporate needs or situations.

All of these programs are ISS-approved so long as they fulfill the ISS requirement of eight hours of board education.
