Professor Holekamp is a Vice-Chair on the Board of Trustees at City Academy school, and enjoys playing squash, traveling, and outdoor sports.

Cliff Holekamp grew up in Los Angeles, and worked as an account executive for IBM in Tennessee. Since coming to St. Louis in 1999, he has been a founder or board member of several start-up businesses in the fields of healthcare, retail, real estate, and education. In 2007, Professor Holekamp sold controlling interest in Foot Healers, the chain of podiatry centers that he had founded and managed, to an investor group and subsequently joined the faculty at Olin. His work has earned him recognition from "Inc Magazine," the "St. Louis Business Journal," and entrepreneur of the year honors from the St. Louis County Economic Council. Additionally, he has been profiled or quoted in both local and national publications. Aside from teaching entrepreneurship courses, Professor Holekamp consults start-up and small businesses, is a frequent guest lecturer, and is actively involved as a judge and advisor in the Olin Cup business plan competition and the Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition.
