Research interests:
After getting his Ph.D., Dr. Gulovsen did marketing/research consulting for clients such as Anheuser-Busch, Lexmark, Spectrum Brands, Deutsche Financial Services and M&M Mars.
Dr. Gulovson was also the lead researcher/author of a cross-cultural media usage and attitude study of Arabs, Asians and Westerners in the U.A.E.
Personal interests:
Bob's qualifications for teaching the international marketing course include growing up in Saudi Arabia and attending high school in Lebanon and Switzerland. His international marketing experience includes responsibility for international advertising while at Holiday Inn and work with advertising agencies and PR firms in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Singapore.
His advertising/brand management includes consumer marketing positions (from assistant brand manager to vice president of marketing) at Johnson & Johnson, Holiday Inn, Kellwood, and Sara Lee Corporation. In addition he has held advertising agency account management positions on Proctor & Gamble, Kraft Foods, Anheuser-Busch and M&M Mars accounts for Young & Rubicam and D'Arcy, MacManus & Masius.
When not teaching Bob can be found on the golf course.

Professor Gulovsen was an adjunct professor at Olin from 1992 until 2004, when he went to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates to teach at Zayed University.
