Professor McLaren began his career with 7 years of public accounting with Coopers & Lybrand, LLP in St. Louis, MO and New York, NY where he focused on small business consulting domestically and corporate re-engineering internationally. In 1997 he entered the financial planning industry working in the areas of pension tax consulting, estate and retirement planning, wealth transfer strategies, and international trust creation. He has consulted for major domestic and international financial institutions, as well as specialized financial advisory firms throughout the country in areas related to financial planning for high net worth individuals.
