Professor Sneider has been an adjunct professor at the Olin School since 1992 and has taught retailing at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Virtually his entire business career was spent in retailing. From 1987 to his retirement in 1995, he was president and co-chief executive officer of a large national multi-unit chain store operation. He relies to a great extent on case methodology to simulate real-life business situations. He is able to call upon business professionals in the community to give guest lectures throughout each semester, thereby enhancing student understanding of the consumer marketplace faced by marketers and retailers. He was awarded the Reid Teaching Award by Olin students in 1997 and 1998.
