Curriculum

The Olin MBA Curriculum is flexible, based on a small set of required classes and a large number of electives. It is shaped by your needs and aspirations. In the Fall of 2003, Olin refined and enhanced our Concentrations to help individuals with specific career paths maximize their time at Olin. For a list of MBA Course Offerings, please consult the course listings (*PDF 95k).

In addition to traditional courses, our students may take advantage of unique learning experiences through one of several Centers we have here at Olin. The Center for Research in Economics and Strategy (CRES) ; the Boeing Center for Technology, Information and Management; and the Center for Experiential Learning are interdisciplinary in nature, drawing together people and ideas from a wide range of areas. We are also lucky to have a recently established Center physically located in Simon Hall. The Washington University Center for Health Policy will help to identify issues and solutions in the healthcare industry.

Policies

Copies of all MBA policies are available in the MBA programs offices, room 114. Several are also available here for quick reference. Please read each of the policies carefully. Each of these policies will open in a new browser window.

Exchange Programs

Regardless of your career aspirations, you will be influenced and challenged by world markets, international trends, and cultural differences. Olin offers several opportunities for the study of international business through coursework and short-term study abroad. For students interested in incorporating longer-term global perspectives and experiences into their MBA program, Olin partners with six MBA programs across the globe. This allows you to choose a one-semester exchange program matched to your interests and language skills.

Registration

Class selection is an important process for all MBA students. Please read the instructions carefully before you register for classes. Registration is a user-friendly process via the Washington University WebSTAC system. WebSTAC also allows you to check your waitlist status, view grades, view billing and account information, and update your contact information. Please remember to update your address as needed. This is where your bills and other information will be sent.

Forms

Several of the forms that are available in the MBA Student Services office are also available on-line. Once you have opened the document, you can print it, complete the information, and return it to Student Services, Simon Hall Room 114.
