Application Methods

Our preferred method of application for the MS in Finance is the online version found at https://apply.embark.com/MBAEdge/WUSTL/. Most parts of the application, including the recommendations, may be submitted electronically. You have the option of paying the application fee for the online application by credit card, E-check, or any other method listed below under "Application Fee.".

However, if you prefer to use a paper version, you may download a copy of Olin's MS in Finance application at http://www.olin.wustl.edu/msfin/adm/pdf/MS_FINapplication.pdf. (*PDF 299K). After you complete it, mail it via conventional delivery methods.

Application Package for the Paper Version

You are responsible for ensuring that your application is complete and ready for consideration. An incomplete application will delay the admission process. Please make sure that all mailings are clearly marked. Complete the application checklist found on the Application for Admission to be certain that you have provided all parts of the application, including official requests for the release of your GMAT and/or GRE scores. All the materials noted below must be sent directly to Olin in order to complete your application and have it considered for admission.

  • Application for Admission. The entire application form including personal facts and essays must be completed. Please be sure to sign the certification on the Application for Admission.
  • Résumé. A current and accurate résumé is required.
  • MS/Finance Recommendation Forms. Provide recommendations from two individuals who have knowledge of your professional qualifications.
  • Transcript Request Forms. Send one to each university or college you have attended. You must supply the original transcript even if the credit or grades are noted on another transcript. Enclose a self-addressed, postage paid return envelope so the registrar can return the transcript to you.
  • Application Fee. The application fee is $80. Checks must be in U.S. currency only, drawn off a U.S. bank and made payable to Washington University. Personal checks, money orders, cashier's checks and traveler's checks are acceptable.
