PhD Admissions
Pursuing a Ph.D. in business requires commitment not only from you, but your family and friends as well. You will spend long hours, week in and week out, immersed in course work, studying for prelims, and working on your research.
Your intelligence, the skills you acquire in the basic disciplines (particularly economics, econometrics, and statistics), your passion for your chosen field, and an uncompromising work ethic are necessary ingredients for successful and timely completion of our program.
"The Olin program is designed for students whose goal is to do high-level research at a top-rated university. Basically, we train these students to do what we, as faculty, do. And because we have a very low student-to-faculty ratio, we can provide a much deeper level of interaction than one would find at other universities. In fact, our doctoral candidates are regarded more as junior colleagues than graduate students."
