Partnering with Olin
Participation in activities such as workshops, career panels, networking events, and information sessions can support your recruiting efforts because they allow you to meet students and generate interest about your employment opportunities before the interview process begins. Please contact Employer Relations for more information about the following options.
Student Consulting Teams Olin's Center for Experiential Learning (CEL) can help your organization solve business challenges by providing cost-effective management expertise. In the Practicum, Olin MBA and BSBA teams tackle a problem that you define, guided by a faculty member who has expertise in the area of your project. These programs provide a great opportunity for you to assess our students' on-the-job business skills and leadership potential. In fact, many CEL clients have hired our graduates after working with them on projects. For more information, contact the CEL or call 314-935-4512.
Faculty Relationships We encourage company representatives to contact Olin faculty members in order to build relationships and gain insight into our programs and students. Olin Faculty
Career Management Classes The Weston Career Center teaches three career management courses to the following corresponding student groups. Throughout each of these courses, there are multiple opportunities for corporate participation in the classroom via career panels, practice interviews, and class speakers. We welcome your involvement in these classes and other career related programming events throughout the academic year.
- Managing Your Business Career Strategy - undergraduate career course
- Career Naviagator - MBA career management course
- Careers in Finance at Olin - Masters in Finance career course
Road Shows Throughout the academic year, student organizations along with the Weston Career Center visit various cities. Road shows usually focus on a particular industry and contain several company visits, networking receptions, and in some cases, interview opportunities. Hosting a group of Olin students on a road show is a great way to connect to your target audience and build your brand awareness. For information regarding upcoming road shows, please contact Employer Relations.
Student Organizations
Both MBA and BSBA clubs host speakers, hold networking events, organize local company tours, and coordinate road shows to cities across the nation. Student organizations also can be helpful in arranging for publicity and generating enthusiasm for company information sessions and other corporate-sponsored events. If your organization has interest in participation or sponsorship of the following activities, contact appropriate club leadership. Student Organizations
Friday Afternoon Clubs (FAC)
Every Friday while school is in session, the MBA students host a gathering to eat, drink, network, and have fun. Often companies sponsor a FAC, which allows them to bring representatives from their company to meet and network with MBA students, and of course, have a fun time. GBSA
Olin Open
Every fall, MBA students organize a tournament to test their skills at golf. The entirely student run event is an excellent opportunity for companies to get their name out to first and second year MBAs. Many companies have found this event to be very helpful in highlighting prime recruiting targets for their organization.
